Please consider making a donation to Habitat for Humanity as they begin assisting those who are suffering due to the overwhelming earthquake destruction in Haiti. Please pray for those suffering in the aftermath of the earthquake and for Habitat for Humanity volunteers and workers in Haiti.
Habitat for Humanity Lansing is collecting monetary donations to aid the Haitian rebuilding effort on its website: www.habitatlansing.org and in the ReStore. Habitat Lansing will send the donations as a special tithe to Habitat International for their work. Please help build homes and build hope for the people in Haiti!
" Life's most urgent question is: What are you doing for others?" Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
My friend and fellow Habitat Lansing board member, Bob, is currently in Haiti on a mission with his church. He is safe and unhurt but will likely be delayed in his return home. Another friend, JR, who is from Haiti, has found out that his father is alive but is injured. He was able to confirm that his siblings are safe as well. Communication is so limited that only the minimum information is being transferred. Please keep them in your prayers as well.

It is good to know that organizations like Habitat and others are there to help out.
Special personal request: My friend Ellen's friends Alvin and Erica and their 3-year-old daughter are in Haiti. Alvin and Erica work for the UN. Alvin and his daughter are okay, but Erica is still missing. She was at a UN meeting when the earthquake hit. Please include Erica in your prayers.
