Tonight was our monthly Charm Quilt group meeting at Daisy's. We had a potluck dinner as usual and tonight it was mostly desserts, including a "to die for" chocolate cheesecake made by Georgia. Luckily we had a few healthy items as well. After we had our dinner, Bonnie announced that because she knew I was having a difficult time at this time of year and lacking in Christmas Spirit she and all the other quilters each secretly made me a special Christmas block. I was so surprised and overwhelmed that I immediately cried and cried and cried. Each block is unique and beautiful, just like my friends. I have always been thankful for my quilting friends, they are always there when I need them and sometimes they still surprise me.
They instructed me that I have one year to make these blocks into a quilt. I have ideas running through my mind already. Thank you all....you are precious!!!!

The collection of blocks I received tonight. Some blocks even include my favorite lime green.

Lisa made the New York Beauty block and Phyllis from California even made a block, its the yellow star with the blue background.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

And you have a couple coming from me too! They'll arrive at your house before Christmas. Peace, Cindy.
I am so glad you love them. They look great all laid out. Merry Christmas to you.!!
Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday, Cindy!
I'm so glad you like your surprise blocks. We had fun making them in secret to give you some Christmas cheer. :)
They look great together. I can't wait to see how you set them together. Maybe I'll get some inspiration for my St. Francis set.
Have a Happy Birthday and a Merry Christmas too! Just returning some of the love and caring that you show your friends throughout the year.
I know you will enjoy your blocks - and the challenge of putting them together. I'm so glad Bonnie had the idea.
Merry Christmas to you, my friend.
Those quilt blocks looked good on you, and we know you'll make the most beautiful quilt from them. Have a very very merry Christmas, Cindy!
Glad you liked the blocks, Cindy. I think you'll have one coming from Dorothy. She was going to NYC with her daughter to see the Rockettes show. Like others, I'm eager to see how you set these together. Have a very good Christmas with your family. Love, Daisy
Friends are the best aren't they! And remember, "to have a friend, you must be a friend"...I bet you are a great friend!
