Chihuly at Meijer Garden Part Five - Final

After our refreshing lunch we ventured back outside into the heat and humidity. This last part of the tour took us along the boardwalk and the large wetland area. Enjoy the last of the Chihuly exhibit.
This is one of three frog statues in the woods along the boardwalk. This is my favorite one with bug on his nose.
Hey, a real turtle!!
And then another!!
No, those are not plastic bags floating in the pond. They are PolyVitrol artwork by Chihuly. I have to confess I really don't like it. In fact, I didn't even show you some of the other PolyVitrol works that I photographed. They just don't look right to me. You will have to go to Meijer Gardens to see them.
The big wetlands with its green algae.
Look what I found hiding in the algae. He looks like he is knee deep.
Finally we found some great Chihuly art.
They really look like Herons.
I mean really they do. The color was superb!!
A distant view.
Da Vinci's horse on a grand scale.
This display was in the Children's Garden. Interesting but certainly not my favorite colors.
Now were talking....These aqua trumpets were soooo cute. I had to photo them from the interior of the building. If you look carefully you can see my reflection.
A close up.
Another view of the cobalt reeds and my reflection again.
One last view of the Chihuly glass at Meijer Gardens. I hope you enjoyed the tour.

These are all so awe inspiring --- I can't imagine how they are produced! I've just got to get over there and see them in person!Wish Lansing would do something similar. The whole art thing in GR is so much more than we have.
