Quilts True Art IV/ Hot Date!

Today was a day packed with many special things. The opening of Quilts True Art IV took place this afternoon and those in attendance got to see the wonderfully colorful quilts depicting songs and others containing curves and circles. My Mom,Terri, Jackson and Madeline attended the opening. Lisa attended with her parents. Other quilters who attended were Daisy, Maria, and Dorothy. It was Jackson and Madeline's first art opening and they were a big hit with all the art lovers.

Jackson also got to see the Olympic exhibit at the Michigan Women's Historical Center before we left the reception. He wrote "MSU" on his "gold" medal and then posed on the winners steps for a picture.

I didn't get to stay until the end of the reception because I had a big date with a very handsome young man. He is a little younger than me, but I enjoy his company and he seems to enjoy mine. We went to a special show at the Wharton Center. The young man is none other than my nephew, Jackson, and we enjoyed the musical show about children's books, "If You Give A Pig A Pancake". Jackson sat quietly and his eyes seemed glued to the stage for the entire show. He said he really enjoyed the show, so perhaps we will have to see others in the future. My "hot date" was topped off by a trip to McDonald's for a Happy Meal and toy car.
