Do I Ever Cross HIs MInd?

Today would have been our 19th Wedding Anniversary. I still wonder if I ever cross his mind, is he okay, is he happier, why, why, why???

In pursuit of greater happiness, I created a new memory for October 28th. I have been hinting about the new and exciting things going on at Habitat Lansing and we took another step forward today. Denise, our Executive Director and I met with a special person who is one of the founders of Habitat Lansing, he is a former mayor of Lansing, a former state legislator and a former director of the state department where I work and a devoted and valued leader in our community. It was a wonderful and productive meeting. He said "YES" to all of our requests and he will provide a wonderful lift to our organization and our special project.

Although it was not as special as the meeting just mentioned, our monthly Habitat Board of Directors meeting tonight was also a plus (although it was extremely long). Denise and I got to announce our good news about the project and I presented the board with the quilted wall hanging, Habitat Homes. They all loved the quilt and it will be hung soon. I will post a picture of it hanging so you can see how wonderful it looks. A big THANK YOU to all those who made houses and trees for the quilt and a big THANK YOU to John who did fantastic machine quilting.

An additional plus for the day was a phone call from the Capital Region Community Foundation asking me to serve on a committee. I said yes, of course.

Eleanor has had two of her steroid pills so far and there is not much improvement. She is eating and does move around a little. I carried her upstairs this evening and she promptly ran and hopped back to the basement. I won't try that again. She does still raise her head when I ask if she wants a T R E A T. I consider that a good sign.

How about that stock market??? UP UP and AWAY!!!!

There are many ways someone leaves our life --- and for most we wonder "why?". I'm glad you are taking positive action and hope each passing year will bring less sadness.

Cindy, I'm sorry this still hurts. But you have come such a long way and are so much stronger than you were a year ago. You are filling your life with all things positive. You go, Girl. Daisy
