I got the following email from my sister, Terri, today and I thought I would share it with you: "Well, its been a busy and emotional week in our household (at least for this mom). Today Rodney, Madeline and I meet with the Honorable Elizabeth Pezzetti in her private chambers. After hearing our adoption agency caseworker's recommendation, the Judge asked us for our "testimony" (i.e. we responded "yes" or "no" to several questions pertaining to our understanding of what our legal and permanent responsibilities for Madeline would be (and now are). To our delight she found everything satisfactory and issued an Order of Adoption, making Madeline Jayne a legal and permanent member of our family."
