Clematis and Hydrangea

It rained last night and the grass and trees seemed happier. Today I did housecleaning and cooking and managed to get lots of yard work done as well. I have a Norway Maple tree in front of my house and it is forever dropping samaras. You know...we called them helicopters as kids. Anyway, I had to rake them again. The pile was huge! My lawn company edged my sidewalk and driveway this week and the front yard is now looking rather spiffy.
I also did some weeding and branch and leaf pick up in the backyard. I have one garden area that is a total mess with quack grass. I will get to it another time. Tonight, I am exhausted and the tendinitis in my right arm is very painful.
I thought you might like to see the Clematis and hydrangea I have in my gardens:

This one is Double Blue.
Up close.

This is on the other side of the small garden area from Double Blue. It blooms quite prolifically.

For some reason Blogger put the rest of the pictures in the left margin.
This Clematis is on an old gas light on the corner of my large patio.

This Jackmanii is on a trellis on the back of the garage.

This Jackmanii is on the fence that runs half the width of my backyard. I hope it gets big enough to cover the fence.

Both of my Jackmanii's have a vitamin deficiency and so some of the leaves are yellow. The plant doesn't seem to suffer much because of it.

Endless Summer hydrangea.

Nikko Blue hydrangea. My soil must be of a different pH so the color is pink and not blue.

Up close.

In front is AnnaBelle and in the rear is Lime Light. No buds yet on Lime Light.

Muffin likes to watch me from the screened door. I think he can smell the catnip that I trimmed today.
